Sending condolences to the family and prayers I will miss seeing him at Savannah Toyota he was a Awesome guy I'm still in shock over what happened RIP Mr Roberts

- Tina M Lowery, Midway, GA

Too soon, too young were my first thoughts after hearing the news. A devoted son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Steve was, in many ways, larger than life. He was serious about his business but there was a softer, generous side many people never saw. And while I won’t be able to be there in person, I will be attending in spirit. My prayers and deepest sympathies go out to his family. He will certainly be missed.

- Robert E. (Bob) Savadge, VERO BEACH, FL

What an awesome man Steve was. I can truly say that I am a better man for knowing him! His infectious smile and quick wit were always so refreshing. Steve was the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off of his back and if he didn't have a shirt to give, he would be sure and find you one! Truly one of a kind. He was like a big brother to me and truly part of the Driftaway family and will be sorely missed by all of us around here. I find peace knowing that he passed away doing what he loved in a place he loved and did not suffer in a hospital or any other institution. May God wrap His loving arms around the Roberts family and bring you all peace that only He can provide. Dwell on the fond memories of good times and know there were many!

It’s hard to convey how much he meant to me. I served him lunch 3/4 times a week for almost 20 years at Driftaway Cafe , but it was more than just that. He shared good advice with me, and good jokes, and many wonderful conversations. He was my friend. He fussed at me for not getting regular oil changes, gave me deer meat , and always asked about my family. I’m gonna miss him so very much but I’m grateful to have had him as a friend for as long as I did. My condolences to his entire family.

He was one of the best most loyal people I have ever had the pleasure to know. His heart was so big. He made everything and everyone around feel safe and equal . He was an icon to us at Driftaway Cafe. Even the kitchen understood “ Steve with the Jalapenos “. There are no words , or anything I can say to all of you beautiful family members that you don’t know already . God bless you all and keep you well. He was so proud to be your father/ husband to you Susan . All these grandchildren may never live with him alive in this life . I can promise that , they will know about him forever. Legacy of life forever. All my love Michelle Calver

Mr. Roberts was my first boss upon returning home to Savannah back in 2016. I served as HR Manager at Savannah Toyota and Mr. Roberts was an awesome guy, never too busy to chat and encourage me to cut my long hair! I think he's happy looking down on me now as I've trimmed it up! Thank you for taking a chance on me and always being so approachable and friendly Mr. Roberts, I know you will be missed tremendously.
